Sioux Falls and the birth of the modern hot air balloon


Of special note to my fellow pilots in the Lighter than Air community, the Large building directly
behind the Arc of Dreams is the Raven Industries building. Raven Industries of Sioux Falls is
credited with being the creators of the modern Hot Air Balloon. Sioux Dakota Public Broadcasting

To my friends back in CT who still fly in chairs, and the members of the Murphy's Landing Balloonport (CT30) Wednesday night sewing circle, I look forward to sharing photos later this summer in Germany of the balloon museum in Augsburg and the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen.
