Today we are using our month-long go anywhere in Germany for 9 euros train tickets for a day trip from Regensburg, to the City of Nurnberg. Upon entering the gate to the old city we make our way to the Golden fountain where a stream of water exits the mouths of several figures and into a long funnel which when dropped down allows the water to flow.

The church of St Sebaldus located In the Albrecht Durer platz, named for the late middle ages painter, is the church of St Sebaldus. A Lutheran Church since reformation, it has a more austere feel within the gothic interior than most of the Bavarian catholic cathedrals, and I was particularly intrigued by the strange statue of the devil with a dagger in his heart, not to mention the various padlocked doors in the wall.
Also of note, for a time, the organist of St Sebaldus was the composer Johann Pachebel, whose Canon in D Major is now a very familiar wedding favorite. The Pachelbel Canon in D Major in a traditional version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvNQLJ1_HQ0
