Pizza in the Park

Walking through the many parks we often saw these odd tall square structures and wondered what they could possibly be used for.

Anyway, by Wednesday evening we were looking for a change from Brats and Beer, and took a take-away pizza and a bottle of red wine across the old stone bridge to the island park. We found a lovely spot to watch the Danube flow by and view the old City as the sun slowly set in the west. We were not the only ones enjoying a pizza in the park. It is apparently quite popular with the ducks, as well as the local Regensburgers.

And as for that odd shaped receptacle, its use became instantly apparent as we made our journey home.
