Chianti B&B

We are now staying at the Canonica di Nusenna, a former rectory, now a B&B in a small mountain village in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Actually, a very small village, as in 35 residents living on the one road leading in and leading out. Needless to say, it is very quiet. Since it is late September in the mountains it is chilly at night, perfect for a restful sleep, until dawn when the roosters crow.

One day a week the owners offer cooking lessons, and each Saturday night the dining room serves a sumptuous multi course meal consisting of 6 antipasti plates served one after the other, a primo pasta dish, a Secondo meat course with side dish, followed by the dolce dessert, and to complete the experience a local bottle of Chianti Classico! Since it was Saturday, we booked a table and enjoyed a truly memorable dinner.
