After several lazy days walking along the beach at low tide, checking out the patterns left by bubbler crabs, slapping our feet in puddles, pressing our toes in the soft sand, and cooling off in the calm warm waters of the gulf of Thailand, it is time to exlore the island. As a large portion of the island is preserved land, our first stop is the Mu Koh Chang National Park.
From the entrance gate there is a well marked jungle trail which eventually leads to the Khlong Phlu waterfall. Not as impressive as Niagara, Victoria or Angel Falls, they are said to be more dramatic during the rainy season. Regardless, there is a refreshing deep water pool for swimming and sitting along the rocky edge, we experience fish nibbling at our dangling feet.
Just another day of island life.
