Welcome to Cambodia

We departed Koh Chang Thailand early Tuesday morning in a mini van shuttle service to the Thai-Cambodian border. After officially exiting Thailand, we walked the short distance to the Cambodian immigration building. Visas secured and Passports stamped, we find our new Cambodian bus and continue on to our destination, Siem Reap.

Our Cambodian bus at the highway rest stop.

Arriving at the bus depot in Siem Reap we are approached by a Tuk Tuk driver wearing a ‘New Haven Connecticut’ shirt. I have no idea how he came to possess a New Haven shirt, and apparently neither did he. Regardless, we hopped aboard a Cambodian style Tuk Tuk, a carriage mounted to a woefully under-powered scooter, and away we went.
