We have been traveling for over one year as we entered our 15th country, Romania. After 12 months of writing, researching and editing photos for the blog, I frankly needed a break from posting. I was also struggling with a nasty summer cold, which added to my lack of motivation, and then my phone/camera died.
I do feel bad not having posted more photos or stories from Romania, especially since we have both come to love this beautiful country. There is an abundance of old European charm without the throngs of tourists, and all quite affordable compared to western Europe. We especially found the old medieval cities of Brasov and Sibiu enchanting, and despite being in the heart of Transylvania we saw no Vampires!
We are both still enjoying our travel journeys, albeit at a slower pace, and have committed to staying abroad for another 7 months, after which we will be returning to the US to embark on the next stage of our vagabond adventures.
